i’m eating cereal right now. it’s “Coco Pops” and the box says that it has a “double chocolatey taste!” it ain’t kiddin. i don’t really care for cereal in the mornings; i’m more of a bagel/pancake/toast/poptart person. but i do like cereal other times of the day.
i ran some errands after work today (and when i say “some” i mean, one). i went to the grocery (and when i say “grocery” i mean, supercenter). and among my purchases, i bought a mop. well, i decided to use this mop soon after arriving home. and… it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to work it. don’t ask.
it just started raining.
when i left the grocery, i had a weird interaction with a stranger. he gave me the heebie jeebies. during our very brief conversation he said, “my name’s hugh.” i said, “nice to meet you.” and then he said, “i said, my name’s hugh,” (because i didn’t respond with what my name was). and then i just repeated, “nice to meet you.” but i lied. because it was definitely not nice to meet hugh. he’s one of those people that if he lived in america, he’d be on “to catch a predator” with chris hansen. and trust me, i’m being nice. …now i know why parents tell their children not to talk to strangers.
at work we have been trying to hire another voice over artist, in case i become ill or would like a holiday, etc. well… the requirements for this position are extremely particular, and unfortunately, the new person has to sound somewhat similar to me. so far we have interviewed 7 people… and just recently hired one, but she can only work part-time, so we’re looking for another (for a total of 3 [or rather, 2.5]). fortunately though, i happen to love this part-time girl! we hit it off right away, which was nice. anyway, i’m bringing this up because i’m interviewing yet another candidate tomorrow… at first it was fun to conduct interviews. now… it’s rather tedious. my role in the interview process is i prepare a script for them to read (and i purposefully use a tricky one), make recordings of their voice, and pay attention to any accents/vocal problems they might have and how fixable those are. so… wish me luck tomorrow. oy.
would you clone yourself if you could? i would not. for one, the world would be worse off and for B, i like knowing there is only one of me (that rhymed. unintentionally. [which also rhymed]). i digress. anyway, i realize there are people out there with whom i share similarities, but when it boils down to it, nobody else is me. and… i like that.
oh! i bought new toothpaste today and it is de-lish. it makes me want to brush my teeth everyday!
happy thursday, you.

…as well you should brush your teeth everyday!
i go back and forth with the whole clone thing, but most of the time, i’m glad to be the only one of me, and clones seem to be awfully tricky to keep in line, from what i’ve heard.
