1. we are thiiiiis close to getting a dog (like the one i posted photos of)! hopefully it will work out, but this little booger is expensive! i really want a pet, mostly because i like taking care of things. and i don’t exactly want a baby yet. and actually, i made a promise to laura hamilton that if i did conceive a child while in thailand (like she kept telling people), i would name its first name “laura hamilton” no matter the gender. and no one wants that name for their kid, am i right?
2. speaking of dogs… someone (who shall remain nameless and unimportant), thinks this particular breed of dog in which i am interested (a boston terrier), has a funny shaped head. you know what… i think nameless person has a funny shaped face. furthermore, just let me think it’s cute because i’m not a dog person, okay? you ruiner of dreams, you.
3. it’s been suggested to me that i should write a book. so then i began thinking, if i were to actually write a book, what kind of book would it be? definitely NOT an intelligent one that would be found in the history section. and not a pop-up book because i’m not that crafty. but i was thinking maybe a kids book, though i could not be the illustrator. or maybe i could write a book called, “everything i learned about thailand can’t be found in a book (but read this anyway).” what else…? i don’t think people would be interested in reading an autobiography… though it would offer entertainment, but then people would find out all my secrets about how i do what i do. is it possible to write a book about nothing? are there rules to writing a book? sooo many questions!
4. back to the dog… this is easier to talk about. i need a good name for this dog! the breeder has one male and one female. personally, i get along better with males. and Carter was a boy cat and we really loved each other. i digress. a name! i like naming pets human names because it’s funnier, and here’s what i’ve come up with so far:
male names: george
female names:??
ok… so clearly i haven’t gotten too far. but i’m picky about names. Carter was nameless for two days, while i tried out a few before finding the perfect one.
we’ll talk more about this later, but please feel free to offer suggestions. in the meantime, i need sleep because i am dog-tired. (ooooh nice one, danny.)

Ok, I’m stuck on the Boston thing…what about “Bun”? Or “tea”?
