hey monday viewers. it’s time to talk about y-o-u. i’ve received some really nice compliments from a handful of people simply pertaining to this silly little blog; thus, i would like to take an opportunity to thank you for reading. i might not know who is on the other side of that screen (well, some of you i know because you’ve made me aware), nonetheless, i’m quite appreciative. i feel a bond developing between us and before you know it, you’re going to be wearing a necklace that says “best” and i’ll have the other half of the heart that says “friends.”  but seriously, it’s nice to know we can meet here everyday just to gab. you provide me with more encouragement than you realize, even without saying anything.

[end hallmark moment]

i’m somewhat of a youtube-aholic, and the main topic of my search today has been directed toward gilda radner – you may remember her of SNL fame and her notable character Rosanne Rosannadanna. i remember doing impressions of her in high school… which i’m certain i butchered royally. all that goes to say, you should really check her out. she was a stellar performer with the most endearing qualities and a knack for comedic timing.

oh! ok wait. i should preface this story… though i am a creative person in different arenas, mostly involving entertainment, i am NOT (capitalized to show emphasis) creative in crafty ways. i can cook and memorize very quickly and even turn cartwheels on a balance beam, but crafts… it’s a struggle… like when you get superglue stuck to your fingers and you’re like, “that sucks.” and it’s painful. well…that’s how people react to my crafts. nor can i draw anything; not even bubble/block letters. i do have good handwriting, but that’s the extent of anything beautiful that is formed once a writing utensil touches paper. BUT you know something i can do that is crafty!? make paper cranes! i actually learned how in Mrs. Ancelet’s 7th grade history class, but after a few years i forgot. well, last week, Cake re-taught me how! the picture below is me saying “pshh. that was easy.”

your challenge should you choose to accept it: make a paper crane. once accomplished: give yourself a big ol’ pat on the back.

have a magical monday! (it was the first “m” adjective that came to mind…)
