continuation of the green shirt…
when i get to the office every morning, it is only myself and ian (we’re the over-achieving, western, work-a-holics). and because i have my own office on an entirely different floor from everyone else, i don’t get to see anyone until lunch (because we all eat together). today we went out to eat and so we met in the foyer area before leaving. that’s when i noticed… zax (pronounced zac)… i refer to him as one of my thai boys (even though he’s 26 [which i didn't know and assumed he was of boyish age])… anyway. that’s when i noticed… zax… wearing none other… than a green shirt! and dark-washed pants! and he has dark hair!
zax doesn’t speak english, but that doesn’t stop me from communicating with him. i ran up and (using only hand gestures), said (with my hands) “my, would you look at this sight. it seems we are both wearing similar outfits on this tuesday. that makes us twins.” and he seemed to understand what i was “saying” and laughed. then i called him my brother the rest of the day.
i received a message about my last post and they said, “Sometimes I think it’s appropriate to embrace the excitingly average. Being awesome *all* of the time can be stressful.” (thanks SF)
to that i say, fine. but only this one time.
and, as promised, an average photo of me being average in an average green shirt. that’s my voice in the background… ironically, also green.
and now, it is bedtime. another blog shall follow tomorrow… maybe. looks like you’ll have to tune in to find out. [cue: suspensful music]
